Letter from our Dean

Dear Maple Village Community,

Welcome back to a new school year. The backpacks have returned to their hooks, lunch bags are in cubbies, and children are laughing and singing. It feels amazing to have all the students back on campus, and we are thrilled with how smoothly the year has begun. Thank you for arriving on time, parking safely, having your children well-rested, fed and dressed appropriately and for giving them to us for the day!

Some quotes from parents of new students:
"Her only complaint was that the day was not long enough!"
"He said it was SO easy to make new friends."
"He said it was the coolest, best place he has ever been.”

Friendly reminders:

Wednesday release time for the whole school is at 1:00. Please remember to arrive early to find safe parking.
All regular class times are listed on our website here:

If you are bringing an item to your child during school hours, please bring it straight to the office as to not disrupt the class in session.

Seeking Parent Volunteers to help sign in children at the front gate from 8:05 - 8:30.
Monday and Wednesday slots are filled. Thank you Carver Scott and Linda Galvan!
Please let me know if you are able to help on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays weekly.
This is a great way to meet families and also fill parent volunteer credits!

I have put together a visual peek into our past week below. I feel so fortunate to be in the midst of it daily!

Warmly and with appreciation,
Lisa

Parent Village Meeting

The Parent Village (Maple Village's version of a PTA) will be having its first meeting of the school year on Tuesday, September 19th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.! ALL parents and caregivers of MVWS students are invited to come learn more about Parent Village, volunteer committees, and ways you can help the school! FREE childcare will be available on campus courtesy of Parent Village Chair Reggie Melrose and provided by MVWS faculty members. (Please note that you MUST RSVP for childcare with the office, and childcare is not available for infants or toddlers.)

See you there!!
Pinworm Notification

Several cases of pinworms in students in the Grades have been reported to us. Please visit the CDC website to learn about pinworm signs, symptoms, and treatment. Pinworms can be easily spread amongst school-age children so please watch for signs and consult your doctor if any symptoms are present.
